I'm a retired Air Force veteran, 20 years in aircraft maintenance, multiple deployments. I'm not learning your world from a textbook. That doesn't mean I've lived your exact experience, nobody has. It means you're not starting from zero explaining the culture.
Depending on need, therapy can last 6 weeks to work through a specific problem, or it can last years depending on the client's motivation to change and tackle more difficult problems. Every client and need is unique.
Yes! I offer virtual sessions for clients in New York and Massachusetts, and in-person sessions for those located in Central New York. While I believe the therapeutic relationship thrives in person, virtual sessions are a fully effective option and a great way to access care from the comfort of your own space.

Sometimes the past matters. But I'm not going to make you dig through everything for the sake of digging. We go where it's useful, not where it's traditional.
Then we'll start there. I'm solution-focused, we identify what's actually wrong and build toward fixing it. Feelings come up because they're relevant, not because it's required.
No. Mindfulness looks different for everyone, and for a lot of people in this line of work, sitting in a quiet room and visualizing isn't it. If that's not how you're wired, we'll find what actually works for you instead of handing you the generic answer.
Blue Cross Blue Shield, United, and Tricare. Private pay is also available, intake is $200, sessions after that are $140.
Free 15-minute consult first, no commitment. If we move forward, intake is a 60–90 minute assessment, your history, what's actually going on, and what you want out of this.
